Taxi and Private Hire Assessments

Why

Looking to drive a taxi or a private hire vehicle? Then many local authorities across the UK may require you to pass a taxi driver assessment as part of your application.

Montie's Driving School offers standard taxi assessments which are conducted by one of our fully qualified assessors. On successful completion, a pass certificate will be provided to pass on to the licensing council.

How

For the standard taxi assessment, the candidate will need to demonstrate a safe, legal and controlled drive. For a full break down of what to expect on your taxi assessment, please request an online information pack below.

To prepare for your taxi assessment, we would always encourage candidates to have a few hours of refresher training with an approved driving instructor prior to your assessment. Montie's Driving School can provide this refresher training but due to a conflict of interest, we would not be able to carry out your assessment.
